This segment is titled, “Dark Signals.” It’s a difficult synthesis of three main ideas. One part is based on one of my favorite movies, “Orphee,” by Jean Cocteau, an interpretation of the story of Orpheus from Greek mythology. Another part draws from the era of small scale and/or pirate radio stations on the FM dial. The last concept relates to my self-diagnosis as a single soul with multiple compartments. I wrote this a year or two before a therapist told me I had multiple personality disorder, which was later modified to dissociative identity disorder or, at a later time, shifting ego states, which definitely sounds less ominous. This is a story I’ve somewhat rewritten to make it a little more understandable. LINKED HERE is the story.
