These are large works, most about 40" in length. I began this series as an exploration of what has never been done before, at least with digital tools. Taking inspiration from sources as diverse as William Blake, Asian scrolls, psychedelic posters from the Fillmore era, confessional poets such as Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton and Robert Lowell, as well as the more obvious Magritte, Dali and Ernst influences. It's pretty adventurous stuff and some of it is rather heart wrenching, which is the idea. Part of my intention with this series is to provoke powerful reaction without resorting to shock imagery, something not easily done these days. Each of them has an embedded poem that is integrated in meaning with the image.
